London, UK, 26th September 2011 - Canon Europe today launches a pan-European campaign to educate and inspire entry level DSLR users about photography. The Canon 'EOS Adventure' campaign combines a series of educational features, including video tutorials from leading professional photographers, together with a pan-European photography competition and media partnership. Created to support the current pan-European EOS ATL campaign, the programme has been developed in collaboration with Yahoo. and includes a dedicated Canon EOS Adventure branded area on the Yahoo. website and Flickr gallery.

Visture, a Shenzen-based company has announced the launch of a new Android tablet called the Visture V1. Packing looks similar to the Apple iPad, it even carriers similar specs: a 9.7″ 1024 x 768 display, 10-hour battery life, Cortex A9 CPU, 3G and WiFi versions, front and rear cameras, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth, Android 2.3, and GPS (on the 3G model). And if looking like and packing similar specs to the iPad 2 isn't enough for you: the Visture V1 comes with its own smart cover as well.

We know that Samsung's Galaxy S2 is doing gangbusters at the moment, having sold more than 10 million units worldwide with no signs of stopping, but those living in South Korea are already treated to something better – the LTE-enabled versions of the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S2 HD. Yes sir, this is South Korea's first LTE 4G LTE smartphones, running on a dual-core 1.5GHz processor with a Super AMOLED Plus display that is huge at 4.5″, not to mention having the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system running underneath the hood (there's a leaked Android 2.3.5 version which we don't recommend you try out).

VIA wants iPad and iPhone banned in the states

What goes around comes around. Apple just won a battle against Samsung which resulted in the banning of the latter company's Android-based Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Germany. The German courts agreed with the fruity iPad developer in that the company owns exclusive rights to minimalist tablet designs (and apparently Stanley Kubrick does not). Citing patent infringement, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 cannot be imported or sold within the German borders.
But now Apple is facing a patent infringement lawsuit filed against it by Taipei-based motherboard, CPU, and chipset maker VIA Technologies, Inc. Submitted to the U.S.

If Apple is to keep in line with the rumor-mill's predictions, the company will have to announce the iPhone 4S/5 very soon. Rumors have been thrown all over the place, but the latest would be that Apple is going to hold an event on the 4th of October, so the safest bet would be an early October announcement and mid/late October launch. This time, there's yet another person who has something to say about the highly anticipated iPhone, but it comes from the oddest of them all, and that is Al Gore. According to PC World, Gore made reference to the rumored new Apple smartphones, the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5, earlier this week.

Samsung Galaxy S2 gets Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread ROM leaked

SAM Firmware alongside some of those who were involved in the DarkyROM have stepped forward with a rather interesting titbit of news – we're talking about a leaked version of Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread that sports a build date of September 15th, and this particular ROM is meant for the Samsung Galaxy S2. Interestingly enough, most of the Galaxy S2 units out there, if not all, still run on Android 2.3.3 and are still waiting for version 2.3.4 of the operating system. This latest leak will also go by firmware version is I9100XXKI3, which has been translated to European version 3 which was dated September 15th.
