Earlier in March this year, we talked about how the Neo Geo X portable console was making its way to the US market in due time, and I guess those who have been patient enough will definitely be pleased to hear that the Neo Geo X finally comes with a sticker price tag attached to it. Good news though, as it will not burn that large a hole in your wallet, considering how the deluxe version which is equipped with a great looking docking station alongside a Neo Geo joystick has been priced to move at $199 a pop.

The stock Nexus 7 peaks at a 1.3GHz clock speed when it's at full burn. That's certainly good enough for the $199 price tag, but eager adopters have just hit a new record in trying to wring out even more of a bang for the buck. Courtesy of a custom Elite kernel from XDA-Developers' Clemsyn, the Tegra 3 in the mini tablet will scale all the way to a heady 2GHz. You'd be right in suspecting that it leads to some dramatic speed boosts: the Nexus 7 at this pace can put a Transformer Prime to shame in common benchmarks, let alone most smartphones. Reaching the loftier heights of performance does require nerves of steel, however.

Kobo Unveils New E-Readers, Android Tablet

Kobo attempts to try stealing Amazon's thunder by introducing its new e-readers and even unveiled an Android tablet a day before Amazon's official announcement of its new hardware. Rakuten-owned Kobo unveils its $79 Kobo Mini, which features a 5-inch E-Ink touchscreen with 2GB internal storage, WiFi connectivity, and Kobo's social reading functions. Too bad there is no expandable memory here.
Up next is the Kobo Glo, a slightly larger device with a $129 suggested retail price.

European NCAP crowns Volvo V40 safest new car ever tested

One of the safest cars ever built will not be sold in the United States. The Euro NCAP, similar to our National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, put the all-new 2013 Volvo V40 through a battery of crash tests and found that it is one of the safest cars it has tested. The Euro NCAP's testing consists of cars being tested in four categories (adult occupant, child occupant, pedestrian and safety assist) for vehicle safety, and the V40 drove (or more likely was towed) away with some of the top scores the agency has ever handed out.

Sennheiser unveils HDVA 600 analog headphone amp, wallets tremble in fear

Along with a few IFA 2012 announcements, Sennheiser peeled back the wraps from its HDVA 600 headphone amp, an analog flavor of the previously unveiled HDVD 800. Like its sibling, the freshly revealed hardware sports a glass panel for peeking at its innards and an anodized aluminum exterior, but leaves the digital inputs behind. While the 800 carries a hefty $2,000 price tag, the 600 will set customers back a smaller - but still substantial - sum of $1,600. Both units are tailored for the likes of Senn's flagship HD 800 headphones, so they should easily be able to drive cans that require up to 300-ohms.

While the functionality's been available since January if you've rooted your device, the official version lands today with a localized "Indian English" voice option. At the same time, it's adding live traffic information for major roads in big cities like Mumbai, New Delhi and Hyderabad - with both arriving today on handsets running Gingerbread and up.
