Raspberry Pi demand at 700 per second

Just to get a brief idea on how much the Raspberry Pi computer was in demand, here is a statistic that you might be able to identify with – we are talking about 700 units per second. That amounts to 42,000 each minute, and it is no wonder that the demand for the Raspberry Pi during its recent launch actually led to the website crashing. This is truly a phenomenon, where a British-designed system that costs a mere £22 is in such high demand, at least according to one of its main distributors in the UK.

MIT opens App Inventor to all, launches public Beta

You'd be forgiven for thinking you've already read this article. Truthfully, you pretty much already have. The software is the same (App Inventor), the milestone is the same (public availability), even the development status is the same (beta). So, what praytell is new then. Well, the Android apps creation tool is no longer being managed by Google - MIT has snatched up the source and worked up its own version. Now you, or anyone else for that matter, can go and log into the MIT App Inventor, so long as you have a valid Google ID.

Android Apps Are Getting Bigger – Market Now Allows For Up To 4GB Downloads

There's no question that Android applications are getting bigger and better. Whether it's with games or full featured Twitter applications, it's rare you'll find anything under a few megabytes. For those that get into gigabyte territory, Google has upgraded the previous 50MB limit for Android apps to a whopping 4GB in extra resources, to better accommodate developers. This means you'll start to find a lot less apps that, after installation, ask to download GB's of system resources to your SD before you can play a game. Also, users will now be able to see the real size of the applications they're looking to install.

Samsung Galaxy Player 70 Plus Android PMP

Samsung has introduced a new Android PMP namely the Galaxy Player 70 Plus. The player features a 5.0-inch WVGA display, a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 5MP camera, a 16GB/32GB of storage, a microSD card slot, an FM radio, T-DMB, access to educational content, preloaded ChatON/Kakao Talk messaging apps, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth and a 2500mAh battery. The 16GB and 32GB models will retail for 399,000 Won (about $443) and 469,000 Won (about $521), respectively.

Uniball Jetstream Ballpoint Pens Review

JetPens recently sent me two Uniball Jetstream pens to try. One from their inexpensive Rubber Body series and the other from their pricier Alpha Gel Grip series. Both pens feature special Jetstream ink which Uniball claims dries 9 times faster than standard ballpoint ink and is fade and water resistant.
