Sprint has officially announced the Motorola Admiral, said to be the first Android smartphone in the carrier's Direct Connect line. This smartphone comes with a 1.2GHz processor, 4GB of internal storage, a 3.1-inch VGA display with Gorilla Glass, a four-row QWERTY keyboard, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, and 3G hotspot support, all packed in a ruggedly-designed, military-specified, 810G-compliant casing. As already stated, the Admiral comes with Sprint's CDMA-powered Direct Connect, which allows users to chat and send emails with fellow Sprint and Nextel subscribers.
