There are some patents that would do nothing other than to elicit a nice, long yawn from you, while other patents are interesting enough to keep you glued to the edge of your seat. Case in point, one of Nikon's recently filed patent that will see a digital back incorporated into a 35mm film SLR camera, turning it into a DSLR. The sensor will be connected to the camera's back panel, and upon replacement, you would have arrived at a digital solution that many folks have figured out is the stuff of dreams. After all, as the back panel is detachable, it would be a snap to alternate between film and digital SLR in a jiffy.
