Just when you thought tablets couldn't get any cheaper than that Kindle Fire, the Indian government has released a new tablet called the Aakash (which apparently means 'Sky' in India) that is set to the be the world's cheapest. The Aakash costs US$35 with government subsidies for students or just US$60 in stores. Not only that, the government is giving away 100,000 free during the launch period. Don't be expecting a dual-core monster though, the Aakash runs Android 2.2 froyo, has a 7inch touchscreen, 2 USB ports, weighs 350grams, has 256MB RAM and 32GB of internal memory.
2DayBlog.com, India finally releases world's cheapest tablet, but would you dare to bet on it?
