White iPod Touch on the way?

White iPod Touch on the way?

If you're looking for a white iPod Touch, you might be in luck. The folks over at 9to5Mac received photographs of what is said to be the front panel of a white 4th generation iPod Touch. Since there's also no way to verify the authenticity of the panel through a photograph, there's no telling if it's real or fake. But there could be possible explanations to what this white front panel could be.
The white panel for the iPod touch could have been a panel that Apple was testing for the iPod Touch 4G but was left unreleased for unknown reasons.

Bikes on a Train: Station Dock Vends Folding Bromptons

Bikes on a Train: Station Dock Vends Folding Bromptons

The Brompton Dock lets you grab a folding bike and take it on the train. The Brompton Dock is a clever take on Park and Ride schemes. Instead of parking your car on the edge of town and taking the bus to the center, you rock up at a railway station, check out a Brompton folding bike and hop on the train. Then, when you reach your stop, you unfold the bike and go on your way.

The scheme is being tested by South West trains in England. 40 Bromptons are stored in a block of lockers on the platform. You swipe your membership card and take a bike. From there you get to keep it for the whole day before returning it on your way home.

We now have a couple of slightly better photos of the forthcoming AndyPad tablet, giving us a slightly better look at the 7″ Android 2.3 device than the previous shot. There's obviously not a lot more you can tell from photos of the thing, apart from…. …its case is very glossy and….
…that's where the USB lead plugs in. It's also pretty heavy on bezel. Good to see it alive and running, though. Makes fantasy scenarios of owning one easier to imagine.

KDDI Mi-Look pedometer targets the elderly

KDDI Mi-Look pedometer targets the elderly

Just what is so special about the KDDI Mi-Look pedometer. For starters, this GPS-capable device will cater for the elderly, as it sports a waterproof body so that a drop into the toilet bowl or a trip to the puddle of water is not going to faze it, while a QVGA display ought to be good enough to let even the elderly check out information on it without having to squint, and three main buttons keep things simple. Oh yeah, one more important aspect – the Mi-Look is also handy in communicating with family members.

Mysterious HTC Ruby shows up. Is it an Android or a Windows Phone handset?

A new and mysterious HTC smartphone has been spotted recently on the web – more exactly on Flickr. The smartphone is called HTC Ruby, and was used to take tons of photos of the HTC Flyer tablet (we don't know why would anyone take so many photos of the tablet from the same angle, but that's a different story). The Ruby can be seen reflected into the Flyer's display. In fact, there are two Rubys that appear in the images. Unfortunately, only the back of the handset is unveiled.

Simmtronics introduces solar powered desktop computer

When it comes to solar powered computers, having a solar powered laptop like the Samsung NC215S makes sense, due to its portability it can be easily be taken outdoors and be recharged or powered in the sun. Well it looks like Simmtronics Semiconductors has plans for a solar powered computer, except this time they're looking to make it a solar powered desktop computer. Judging by the picture above, it looks like it would require solar panels to be installed outside of the house, which is then attached to the power supply, which is then used to power the desktop computer.

If you think that someone has been stealing the cookies from the cookie jar in the kitchen but haven't been able to find the thief because nobody in your house wants to admit doing it, it might be time to take some drastic action. Like installing a camera in the kitchen to see who's been stealing your treats. Since a regular camera won't do (it would stick out like a sore thumb and scare thieves away) a camera that is disguised as an alarm clock should do the trick. We've seen “Sony” spy cameras before, and this new Sony Alarm Clock Self Contained Spy Camera/DVR has been given a boost in specs since them.

Do you notice anything above. New MacBook Air, new Mac Mini, and the Mac OS X Lion screen. But there's also something missing. Looks like Apple may have dropped one important product from its store during today's new product rush. It seems as if there may indeed be some meat to those recent rumors that the company is doing away with its white plastic piece of laptop goodness — at the very least, the thing is nowhere to be seen in its current online lineup. Apple has confirmed that the MacBook has, in fact, been discontinued.

There video still tell you absolutely nothing new about the tablets as the marketing team continues to show their potential extra-curricular indulgences. Sony leads us even deeper into the late-night realm of desktop toys and the tablets they love. Shots of the stylish slates displaying video and gaming functionality are all but hidden in a “filled with fun” maze of booby-trap triggered contraptions. It's a romp through the sort of endearing Tim Burton-esque, high-art nightmare Sony's dabbled in for past Playstation campaigns, so it's actually nothing new.

Radio-controlled cars have become part of our childhood memories and we still see a lot of them being played by kids. Despite the changes we see on the cars being driven via remote control, nothing much changed on the technology itself, so one developer is thinking of putting it up a notch. The BlueDrone concept lets players control their toy cars with the use of their Android phone. The car connects to the smartphone via Bluetooth (hence the project's name), then it is steered using onscreen controls built into the phone's customized app. The BlueDrone car is powered by 3AA batteries and can run for up to three hours.

Well, seems like LulzSec has returned, and moved beyond the DDOS attack. A developer named Michael Lee Johnson recently decided to advertise his Google+ profile on Facebook. Unfortunately, it might not have panned out as well as Johnson had hoped. Johnson's self-made advertisement, which said “If you're lucky enough to have a Google+ account, add Michael Lee Johnson, Internet Geek, App Developer, Technological Virtuoso” under the headline “Add Michael to Google+”  was pulled by Facebook shortly after he posted it. Worse, Facebook took the matter so seriously that the social network banned all of Johnson's other advertising campaigns.
