Noctua Rolls Out First Active Noise Cancellation CPU Cooler

Noctua Rolls Out First Active Noise Cancellation CPU Cooler

Most computer enthusiasts would not settle for a low-power CPU in their machines for one very simple reason – such machines are just good enough for you to check your email, watch some YouTube videos, and basically play Minecraft on them. Forget about those bass-pounding games with superb graphical effects that make your eye pop out, as you wonder whether all of what you have seen is real or not long after you turn off the computer. Well, in order to eke out more performance from your rig, especially a gaming one, you would most definitely need the best parts possible, and a fast CPU is one of them for sure.

ZTE Open Firefox OS Phone Hits The FCC

ZTE Open Firefox OS Phone Hits The FCC

Right now, most folks out there would be juggling between iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8 and of course, BlackBerry as the mobile operating systems of choice, although there are some of the more queer ones such as Tizen from Samsung, and one of the more recent players, the Firefox OS. Having said that, the ZTE Open will be one of the first few Firefox OS-powered devices to arrive, and it has already hit the FCC at the moment.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1 should be launched in the UK next month

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1 should be launched in the UK next month

Although Samsung said that all its new Galaxy Tab 3 tablets would be released (in some markets) this month, it looks like none of them is going to be available in the UK before July. Carphone Warehouse is the only British retailer that provides details on the tablets' launch, saying they'll be in stock starting next month. All models are listed: Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, and Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.
The retailer doesn't mention anything about pricing. We've heard that the Tab 3 7.0 (8GB version) would cost $199 in the US, so it's probably going to be offered for not more than £199 in the UK.

New Airport Extreme Torn Apart

New Airport Extreme Torn Apart

How did the recently concluded WWDC affect you. Were you blown away by what was revealed, or did the new Mac Pro actually give you flashbacks of a cigarette dustbin or modern looking tissue holder. Regardless, the dust has settled and what's done is done, there is no turning back now. A new Airport Extreme was also announced then, and it seems that folks over at Apple, despite sitting on a huge pile of cash, do seem to exhibit their more miserly trait at the moment by using a somewhat similar case as with the new Time Capsule, except that the hard drive as well as connectors have been removed.

Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 Rumored For 20th June Announcement

Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 Rumored For 20th June Announcement

It was just last year that Samsung took the wraps off their new Galaxy Camera, and word on the street has it that a successor has been in the works and could even make its debut on the 20th of June. This is according to Korea's Digital Daily who claims that the camera will be debuted at Samsung's event which is held on the 20th of June. The event is expected to reveal new Galaxy and ATIV devices, although at that time we thought it might only be phone-related, but we guess the Galaxy Camera is considered a Galaxy device, so there's always that possibility.

Sky Sentinel UAV Airship

Sky Sentinel UAV Airship

Have you watched the latest Batman: The Dark Knight Returns cartoon. In the second part of the story, it showed how blimps that were launched courtesy of Wayne Enterprises helped the city's collective law enforcement agencies to keep better tabs on the overall crime scene thanks to a bird's eye view and some snazzy artificial intelligence. Sure, that is all fiction and sound nice, but is it possible in real life. Perhaps word that the launch of the Sky Sentinel UAV airship could very well prove to be a baby step in a similar direction.

Supposed Galaxy Note 3 prototype shown as Samsung is said to be entering limited production

It looks like Samsung is making steady progress on crafting the sequel to one of 2012′s biggest (no, literally, biggest) phones. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has been in the rumor mill for a while now, with many different things being said to happen. At the beginning of the journey it was believed Samsung would go with an aluminum build for the device, but recent rumors have since suggested plastic would be making a return for this version. We're also expecting the device to be at least 5.99 inches in size with a 1080p display.

Google Earth Improves Ocean Viewing Experience

Google Earth Improves Ocean Viewing Experience

We have seen some interesting projects done by Google Earth in the past, such as taking you on a voyage to the sunken Titanic, but this time around, the folks over at the Internet search giant has come up with a new and improved ocean viewing experience. This sure as heck sounds a whole lot better compared to some cheap hotel rooms that claim they offer an ocean view, only for you to realize that you need a telescope to catch a glimpse of the ocean. Technically true, but still….

A garden composter that doesn't require you do any work

A garden composter that doesn't require you do any work

Composting is good for the environment, but it can be rather labor intensive for you.  You have to build (or buy) the composter, load it up with your refuse, and then you have to remember to go out and turn the materials over periodically – and wait for months and months for it to be ready to use.  With the Rapid Composter from Hammacher Schlemmer, you can forget the backbreaking labor and speed up composting time, too.  You don't have to turn the materials in the Rapid Composter, and you'll have compost ready for use in about 13 weeks.
