Honda Civic gets frisky with Caddy in strange accident

Honda Civic gets frisky with Caddy in strange accident

This crash isn't as odd as the California melee that saw a Saturn end up on an apartment roof, but it's still a little out of the ordinary. Apparently a driver in Wellesley, Mass. missed a curb, and wound up driving up and over a Cadillac CTS that was inside a parking structure. We're a little baffled as to how this all went down, and the Wellesley police don't give us any clues in their video.

Ford takes interactivity to The Cloud with new Detroit show display

The Detroit Auto Show won't swing open its doors officially until Monday's press days, but that doesn't mean the show hasn't already taken hold at Cobo Hall, as thousands of workers are busy erecting stands, checking lighting and jockeying vehicles into place. Ford Motor Company officials invited us over a little early to get a sneak peek at their still-being-built display, and it's chock-full of technology that takes interactivity to a new level. Dominating Ford's Living Connected display is the centrally located "Cloud Journey" ride, which literally takes showgoers through the ceiling in the name of connectivity.

"We intend to produce 300 units of the Avanti in 2013-2014 and if all goes well we could ramp up the production to go into four figures per annum," DC Design founder Dilip Chhabria said.

No big engine here, the mid engined DC Avanti will be powered by a Ford 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost engine with 261bhp. A V6 variant with 394 bhp will follow.

Sprint Galaxy Nexus LTE arriving?

. It seems that a LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus might be making its way to Sprint, thanks to an advertisement which was published by accident on one of CNET's CES pages. This phone resides on Verizon Wireless at the moment, and to see it appear on a different carrier gives consumers options, since Sprint has just announced that their 4G LTE network will be arriving sometime in the first half of this year – which is a good six months before the world comes to an end according to the Mayans.

The crew behind some of our favorite builds has apparently taken inspiration from the Juke R and decided to make something slightly less powerful, much more affordable and on the high side of attainable.

Detroit in January isn't exactly the proper place to go topless in a 650-horsepower tire smoker, but that doesn't mean rumors of the 2013 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 Convertible's impending debut at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show aren't accurate. And these spy shots prove that the car is very much ready for its big unveiling. We're expecting the soft-top Shelby to pack the same 5.8-liter supercharged engine as its hard-topped sibling, which means the asphalt will be punished with those aforementioned 650 ponies along with 600 pound-feet of torque.

A source at HP just dropped a mysterious teaser video of a so-called Spectre laptop, a heretofore unannounced notebook that looks to be the company's next Ultrabook. Synaptics promises better touchscreens with SignalClarity and Design Studio 4

Look, we recognize that touchscreens have come a long way in the last few years, but there's always room for improvement. Thankfully, Synaptics agrees and is rolling out an update to its ClearPad capacitive panels. At the heart of the improved system is a technology called SignalClarity, which boosts signal-to-noise ratio for better accuracy and finger separation. The new tech will not only lead to a better touchscreen experience, but it could also help drive down costs since manufacturers would be free to use lower cost components that might normally interfere with a capacitive panel.
