Intel Unveils Haswell 4th Generation Core Processors

Intel has release info on the last set of chips of desktop motherboards which is the Haswell fourth generation CPU. The quad core processors will increase battery life by 50% for supported laptops, also graphics for the chip will be twice as good as the previous Ivy Bridge processor. So better visuals with less power.

In advance of the Nürburgring 24-hour race last weekend, Mercedes-Benz put on a demonstration that had Michael Schumacher playing catch-up in a Formula One car against four examples of AMG metal. There were four cars sent off in staggered starts before Schumacher: an A45 AMG, E63 AMG 4Matic, SLS AMG Black Series, and an SLS AMG GT3 car. "Mr. Formula One," as the German television commentators call him, left three minutes after the SLS AMG GT3.
There are two videos of Schumacher's lap, the first is on-board footage - and even though there were several GoPros on the car the POV never cuts away from the front wing.

Report: Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 will feature Intel Clover Trail+

According to a new report, Samsung's next-gen Galaxy Tab will not rely on silicon made in house as others have in the past. Nor will the slate be powered by the ARM processors typically associated with Android devices. Instead, Samsung has opted to go with Intel's Clover Trail+ CPU for the 10.1-inch version of the Galaxy Tab 3, according to Reuters. If these reports pan out, it would mark the highest-profile android launch for Intel.

With word surfacing that Facebook is in talks to acquire Waze, the social map and navigation outfit, for around $1 billion, sources now say Google has tossed their hat in the ring. No stranger to acquiring startups, the move is not surprising. The addition of Waze to Google's portfolio would also keep the company out of the hands of competitors. There is no guarantee that any company will walk away with Waze under their wing, however. While the most serious talks have taken place with Facebook, Google and other parties have expressed interest.

HTC showcases their history of wireless innovations [VIDEO]

As a proud Android user since its humble beginnings, the HTC G1/Dream was my first introduction to Google's mobile OS. That being said, I have fond memories of my time spent with HTC devices, ranging from the G1, to the HTC EVO 4G, HTC Arrive (I experimented briefly with Windows Phone in my college days), HTC EVO 3D, before finally settling down with the HTC One. Denso executives plead guilty to US price-fixing case

The three-year investigation by the US Department of Justice into price-fixing allegations by auto parts suppliers continues, with two more fish from the swamp of corruption the latest to be sentenced. Reuters reports that Denso executives Yuji Suzuki and Hiroshi Watanabe will do 16 months and 15 months in US jails, respectively, for their roles in setting prices for parts like heater control units and power window systems. They will also each pay $20,000 fines. Fourteen executives and nine companies – so far – have been speared by the investigation.
