Cooler Master launches Silent Pro Hybrid Fanless Series of power supplies

Cooler Master launches Silent Pro Hybrid Fanless Series of power supplies

Desktop PC power supplies are tough to get excited about, no matter how many features they cram in. But Cooler Master's Silent Pro Hybrid Fanless series is actually pretty alluring. The supply isn't actually "fanless" but it does have a fanless mode that can be used to minimize machine noise, at least until the load crosses the 200W threshold. Add to that a 90-percent efficiency, fully modular cables and a control panel that lets you manually adjust the speed of your system fans and you're looking at quite the compelling product for the DIY desktop enthusiast. As you could have guessed though, all these fancy features don't come cheap.

From faithful recreations of the Death Star, to life-sized Gears of War Lancer Assault Rifles - there doesn't seem to be a stone left unturned when it comes to creations made by these colorful bricks from Denmark. Barnes & Noble pulls 100 DC comics off its shelves

Last week, Amazon struck a deal with DC Comics to have 100 graphic novels released exclusively on the Amazon Kindle Fire tablet. As you would've guessed, not everybody was too pleased with the idea, chiefly one of Amazon's biggest rivals: Barnes & Noble. Especially since DC Comics has been reluctant to release any of their graphic novels on B&N's own tablet in the past. In retaliation to the partnership, Barnes & Noble has issued instructions for its retail outlets to pull the 100 graphic novels off from their shelves, saying that if they can't sell them digitally - they won't sell them physically either.

Android's New Look: Ice Cream Sandwich – Love It Or Hate It? [Poll]

I’m gonna keep this real simple for you guys. We’ve all seen the leaked video of the Nexus S running Ice Cream Sandwich. Many said it was a fake — turns out those guys were wrong (yeah, I’m calling you out). Today, we saw a newer build of Ice Cream Sandwich this time running on a bonafide Nexus Prime (Galaxy Nexus, Droid Prime, Rodimus Prime) in a much clearer but still kinda fuzzy video. Reading through the comments I found a lot of people either loved the new look of Android or absolutely hated it.

Toyota builds giant arcade claw game to sell cars in Japan

Toyota builds giant arcade claw game to sell cars in Japan

There is no greater test of skill and dexterity than an arcade claw game. Open heart surgery. For amateurs. Watch making. Child's play. Plucking an oddly-shaped stuffed animal from the clutches of its brethren with nothing but three flaccid claws and a joy stick is what it's all about.
Toyota recently tapped into humanity's bizarre fascination with robotics, oversize stuffed animals and, of course, the claw game in a promotion for the company's tiny Ractis. Using a scaled-up version of the same game we all know and love, contestants battled for the keys to their very own sub-compact hatch.
Alright, so it's all more than a little weird.

If you're the owner of a Nook Color e-book reader, then you will be pleased to know that a dedicated Twitter application has just been released for it, making a jab at the Twitter name by being known as Tweek. Developed by boutique software consultancy DIG in Tampa, it might not be the first app on the Nook Color that supports Twitter, but its claim to fame is this is the first dedicated Twitter app that was specially designed just for the Nook Color. To put it mildly, it lets you eat, breathe and sleep Twitter all day long. Tweet after tweet without fail, and will continue to do so until you uninstall it.

Well, without the optional battery pack and memory booster, the device only weighs in at around 3lbs.

Keek for Android Now Available – Share Short Video Messages With Social Networks

I came across this neat app for sharing small video clips with your friends and family. It's called Keek and instead of updating your status with a boring typed out message, Keek allows you to record up to a 30 second video clip and upload it to their site. After creating a Keek account, you can then connect it to either your Twitter or Facebook account where you will be able to immediately tweet/update your friends with a handy link to your video. Pretty handy if you're an exhibitionist (like me) or like to Tweet.

To begin with, Mini has succeeded in creating a livable, entertaining crossover that's nothing if not unique and hasn't diluted the brand's core values. much. Particularly in S and All4 guise, the Countryman has just the right amount of sport to keep us interested and enough functionality to make it an everyday vehicle.

Andy Rubin Reminisces 2007, Notices Kid Wanted His Phone to Make “Ice Cream” [Video]

Our friend Andy Rubin, the father of Android, took to Google+ with a heartwarming thought and video. In 2007, Google released a promo for the Open Handset Alliance. It featured a group of kids telling what they'd want in a phone. Many different things came up. Pizza, cookies, robots – all the usual kid stuff.

One kid even said Cupcake (wink wink) and Andy then points out that at the very end a kid was drawing an ice cream cone and said he wanted three scoops. How awesome.

Not really news, per se, but considering the context (the announcements we expect Google to make next week) we'll take every bit that we can get.

Domain purchases tell so much, yet at the same time oh so little. This time, brand protection service CSC seems to have been contracted by Motorola to buy up several RAZR domains. The selection includes domains such as MotorolaRAZR.net and other combinations of “Moto” and “RAZR” alongside various spellings of the latter. These likely won't be used by Motorola as they're just trying to make sure no one creates a website using their name and trademarks.

But why now? The RAZR brand is ancient in phone years.

Gingerbread has apparently made a substantial mark on Android users, with new figures showing it holds a 38.2 percent share of all Google OS-powered devices. That's some kind of growth from the one percent sliver it held earlier this year. Froyo still remains dominant at 45.3 percent, but fragmentation continues to shrink, with 95.7 percent of all Google-coated devices now running Android 2.1 or above. These figures, taken from Android Market statistics over the last two weeks, give a pretty good illustration of the gulf between Android smartphone and tablets, as well, with Honeycomb versions accounting for a meager 1.8 percent.

Needless to say, the QR code is highly visible on the outside, where the significance of it all would be signalling both time and place to a pair of artifical eyes. It would be a rather cool marketing plan if this particular clock design was to be applied to different companies as a corporate gift, where scanning the QR code on the device will lead you to the company's webpage as a result, or perhaps to another webpage that markets a particular product that you might want customers to be interested in.
