From Russian company Yota Devices, the YotaPhone  (confused you must not get ) is a dual-screen Android phone. One side is a normal high-resolution 4.3″ 1280 x 720 LCD screen that you can use to watch videos or play games; flip it over and the other side has a 4.3″ E Ink screen to read a book, display maps or e-tickets, or other more static applications, such as calendars or widgets. Using the E Ink screen for some functions should lead to better viewability in direct sunlight and result in better battery life, given that eInk only uses power when it refreshes.

Audi boss talks about possible diesel-electric LeMans-inspired supercar

Word has it Audi is hard at work on a new diesel-electric supercar. Auto Express reports Wolfgang Durheimer, head of technical development for the company, is planning a road vehicle that will make the most of the lessons learned from the automaker's 24 Hours of Le Mans efforts. Durheimer says the supercar will be very different from the current R8 and will offer buyers state-of-the-art technology. Specifically, the as-yet-unnamed model will be able to best the current McLaren P1 around a race track.

Sony's PlayStation 3 shaped bento box looks pretty cool

If you're a fan of Japanese culture, the Sony PlayStation 3, or collectibles, it looks like Sony might have something that combines all three aspects together. As you can see in the image above, upon first glance it looks like an oddly designed PlayStation 3 console, but in reality it is actually a bento box that has been shaped and carved to resemble the PlayStation 3. It seems that as a thank you to the Final Fantasy and Metal Gear series, Sony will be launching a special character bento. We're not sure what the actual meal is, but this is apparently the box that the food will go into.

Before the world, err, year, ends, Apple is announcing its iTunes Best of 2012 apps to wrap up the year. Do note that this isn't a first, since Apple also presented the best apps on iTunes last year via the catchy iTunes Rewind moniker. For this year, Apple is opting to use the much simpler “Best” title to drive home the purpose of announcing it in the first place. And the best iPhone app of the year award goes to Action Movie FX, a free app that lets users add Hollywood FX to movies on the iPhone and iPad.

With the Blackberry 10 SDK going gold and with RIM set to launch the platform in January of 2013, it looks like the Canadian company is kicking things into gear by launching a series of advertisements in the New York Times. As you can see above, the ads RIM has taken out in the paper boast about Blackberry 10's virtual keyboard, claiming it to be fast, accurate and effortless. They have also released ads that boast about the platform's time shift camera mode, and the Blackberry 10 Hub. These recently released ads will probably not be the last we'll see, so hopefully RIM will unveil more down the road.

For those unfamiliar, Apple's A-series of processors are currently built by Samsung in a Texas fabrication facility, although given Apple and Samsung's degrading relationship what with the lawsuits and all, there has been plenty of rumors suggesting that Apple could ditch Samsung as a chip manufacturer. The rumors have suggested that TSMC could be a candidate to build Apple's chips, while not too long ago reports have indicated that Apple and Intel have struck some kind of new partnership over the building of mobile processors.

Honda Fit getting 3 new variants, including sedan

The Honda Fit might be a small car, but it is going to play a big role in Honda's goal of increasing sales by 18 percent by the end of the 2017 fiscal year. In this time, production of the subcompact will commence in Mexico, and sales of the car are expected to swell to 200,000 units annually thanks to an expanded model lineup. Joining the current hatchback model, Honda is planning to use the Fit as the basis for a new sedan and crossover, although it isn't clear whether or not the cars will wear the Fit nameplate.
