This is what it's like to drive Magnum PI's Ferrari 308

This is what it's like to drive Magnum PI's Ferrari 308

In the pantheon of 80s pop culture, few cars have such provenance as the Ferrari 308. Sure, vehicular icons like the DeLorean and Pontiac Trans Am (especially in time machine and KITT guise) made us swoon back in the day, but there's something about the bright red Italian that makes it stand out; perhaps it is the 308's performance credibility, at least when compared to other memorable cars of its ilk. Our fondness for Magnum PI's Ferrari 308 is shared by Oscar Verdugo, who's featured in the video you'll see below.

Nexus 5 press images leak... again; could we see a Monday unveiling?

Nexus 5 press images leak... again; could we see a Monday unveiling?

We've seen the Nexus 5 leaked every which way since Timbuktu. Hell, even Google themselves gave us a look at an official image of the device. That particular episode was a mistake, of course — all traces of the device were quickly wiped away from the servers just moments later. But, as we all know, nothing is ever truly deleted on the internet, so it's still swirling about for all the world to see.
Now, leakster extraordinaire @evleaks has gotten a press shot of their own, with the device shown in all its charcoal-black glory.

Keep your keys contained and rattle free with the KeyGrip

If you've been looking for a way to organize your keychain, the KeyGrip from Raven Workshop looks like an interesting option. The New Hampshire based machine shop offers two versions of the KeyGrip. The less expensive KG2 is made with a leather strap, and the one you see above which is available in brass, copper, stainless steel and titanium. Priced between $60 – $95 depending on the material, the U shaped KeyGrip holds up to 6 keys arranged like the blades of a pocket knife.

Bugatti files for Rembrandt patent

Bugatti files for Rembrandt patent

Though increasingly uncommon today, back in the day every automaker had a hood ornament. Bugatti's was an elephant standing up on its hind legs with its trunk extended into the sky. It capped the nose on the famous Bugatti Type 41 Royale, and it was designed by Rembrandt. No, not the famous Dutch artist, but Rembrandt Bugatti – the younger brother of carmaker Ettore Bugatti who was named after the painter.

So why do we mention this, you ask? Because one of our readers just alerted us to a patent application with the European Union's Office for Hamonization in the Internal Market.

Twitter IPO Price Range Reportedly Being Set Soon

Last month we reported that Twitter had filed a S-1 form with the SEC, revealing that it is planning to go public. Twitter's IPO is one of the biggest tech related initial public offerings of this year. Rumors of the microblogging network going public escalated after Facebook conducted its IPO last year, raising $105 billion in the process. Though up till now, no one knows exactly what Twitter IPO price range is going to be. According to a new WSJ report, Twitter might decide on a price range for its offering in the next couple of days.

As per the report, Twitter may “price the deal” as early as November 6th.

Galaxy Note 3 Review

Galaxy Note 3 Review

We saw the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for the first time at IFA in Berlin when it was unveiled alongside the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch. Now the device is available this month for 299.99 from all four carriers, and we spent some real-world usage time with a retail unit from Sprint. Samsung has come a long way since the release of the original Galaxy Note 1 in 2011. Then, most people made fun of me when I was placing calls from this "ridiculously big phone". Fast forward to 2013, it looks like the Galaxy Note smartphone lineup is taken very seriously now, and Samsung has sold over 30 million Galaxy Note 2.

Huge Microsoft Surface 2 Spotted In London

Huge Microsoft Surface 2 Spotted In London

It has been a couple of days since the Microsoft Surface 2 as well as Surface Pro 2 has made its way to the US as well as another 20 countries, but I am quite sure that all of those are no larger than the regular tablet size. Why do I say this. If you happen to walk by the historic Trafalgar Square in London, there is no way you are going to miss this massive Surface 2 which has been constructed to measure 17-feet tall as well as 27-feet wide. This particular monument to the Surface 2 tablet comes complete with a purple Type Cover 2 which allows you to actually step on, as well as type with, now how about that for interactivity.

Ferrari patent suggests one-off SP FFX

Ferrari patent suggests one-off SP FFX

You remember that batch of patent drawings we brought you a couple of weeks ago showing an unspecified Ferrari coupe. The interwebs were ablaze in speculation over what the car depicted could be, and we've been watching them all until we landed on the one that seems to make the most sense. While some speculated that this could be a new California, updated to look more like the F12 and FF, our friends over at Jalopnik suggest, with sound reason, that what we're actually looking at is what we figured in the first place: that this is a one-off FF-based coupe being built for a private customer.

Official pics of BMW M235i surface ahead of coupe's debut

BMW isn't supposed to debut the 2 Series until tomorrow, according to Carscoops, but that hasn't stopped these photos of the 1 Series Coupe replacement from leaking onto the web. First picked up by a BMW 2 Series enthusiast site, the photos eventually found their way around the web, and complement the spy images we showed you of the uncovered 2 Series from almost six months ago. This particular car is the M235i, and will serve as the range-topping 2 Series. As the number "35" is affixed to this car's tail, there's no question that the engine powering this example is BMW's turbocharged, 3.0-liter six-cylinder.

Nikon Germany To Focus On Full-Frame Nikon Products

Nikon Germany To Focus On Full-Frame Nikon Products

Camera companies such as Nikon and Canon have released both full-frame and non-full frame cameras in the past, although with the focus starting to shift towards more compact cameras with full-frame sensors, such as Sony's recently announced A7 and A7r cameras, and with the rumours suggesting that Nikon could be exploring a similar device as well, we guess it's not too surprising that Nikon Germany has announced that they will start to focus on full-frame cameras and will be launching a dedicated website soon.

Mujjo gets fancy with new Leather Crochet Touchscreen Gloves

Winter is in the air here in Southern Indiana. This morning the temperature was a very chilly 38 F (3 C), which means it's time to break out heavier coats and gloves. When you wear regular gloves, it's impossible to interact with smartphones and other devices that have a capacitive touchscreen. Mujjo has been offering special touchscreen gloves for over a year (see related links for my review), and now they are adding to their line up with their newร‚ Leather Crochet Touchscreen Gloves. Featuring Ethiopian lambskin leather, crocheted Egyptian cotton and a cashmere lining, these gloves will look as good as they perform.

Finder. If you've so much as touched a Mac in the past decade, you won't be blindsided the first time you boot up Mavericks. Rest assured, everything is just where you left it. While Microsoft has made its way through a couple of UI overhauls over the past decade (some, admittedly, more successful than others), Apple's tinkered and tweaked and iterated, sprinkling in new features where it saw fit, but generally choosing not to mess with a good thing.

HTC One max might be making it to AT&T after all

HTC One max might be making it to AT&T after all

Contrary to the information from its announcement, the HTC One max might be making its way to AT&T after all. A press photo of HTCร‚'s first phablet with AT&T branding made the rounds on Twitter, once again courtesy of @evleaks. Initially, Sprint and Verizon Wireless were the only US carriers to carry the HTC One max in the United States. Therefore, the appearance of the phablet in AT&T livery surely caught us by surprise.

If the rumor turns out to be the case, the phablet will likely join AT&Tร‚'s already impressive smartphone lineup before the holiday shopping season kicks off.

Become a mythical creature with this realistic unicorn mask. The Magic Unicorn Mask from fredflare.com is a rubber mask that features a flowing mane and of course, a unicorn horn. The crazy look in its eyes kind of creeps me out, but you have to admit that this mask would make you stand out at next week's Halloween party. Better order one quick as there are only 5 left as of right now… The price is $36 and one last piece of advice… shun the non-believers….

LG tipped to release ChromeOS devices with latest trademark applications

LG tipped to release ChromeOS devices with latest trademark applications

LG is just now starting to gain solid footing in the phone market and has just launched its second major attempt at tablets, but the South Korean electronics giant seems to want to try out something new for size — ChromeOS. Recent trademark patents tell us that much, with LG apparently submitting applications ChromeOne, ChromeDesk and ChromeStation. We're not sure if these are all meant to be names for different products or if LG's just covering their bases and not yet sure of which name they want to use, but they all sound like they'll shy away from the traditional netbook form factor Chrome is usually featured on.
