2014 BMW 4 Series drops its top, priced from $48,750*

BMW will debut its new 2014 4 Series Convertible at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, and after seeing plenty of spy shots and, most recently, some leaked images, we now have all the official details. To no one's surprise, the 4 Series convertible is, essentially, a topless version of BMW's new-for-2014 4 Series coupe, and will be offered in the United States in the same 428i and 435i guises. On the base end, that means the 428i Convertible arrives with the company's 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, good for 240 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque, and available with either rear- or all-wheel drive.

The latest report coming from the guys over CTechCN, suggests Apple has halved the iPhone 5c production to 150,000 units per day compared to the initial 300,000 order. CTechCN has proven trustworthy with numerous iPhone 5c leaks in the past and there is a good chance it is right once again. The Apple iPhone 5c was rumored long before its premiere as an affordable alternative to Apple's flagship, helping the company storm the world's biggest market - China.

GM recalling 22K Silverado and Sierra trucks for seat issue

General Motors will recall 21,721 of its new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups over front seats that could move if the vehicle is hit from behind. Affected vehicles all feature manual adjustments for the two front seats, according to a report from Automotive News. Of the nearly 22,000 vehicles covered under the action, the overwhelming majority – 18,972 -– were sold in the United States. A further 2,575 were sold in Canada, while 103 were shipped south of the border to Mexico. Finally, another 71 were sold outside North America altogether.

Pressy has recently passed $650,000, which activated another stretch goal that should excite many of the 25,000 different people pledging funds to make this project a reality. HTC sends out invites for Oct 16 event, One Max unveiling is close

The HTC One Max has refused to stay under wraps, leaking multiple times. The guessing game is almost over though as HTC has sent out invites to the announcement of the phablet. It seems HTC will hold multiple events on consecutive days to unveil the One Max (okay, the invite doesnÂ't call out the phablet by name, but what else could it be after a torrent of leaks). The Hong Kong invite is for October 16 (next Wednesday), while the Taiwanese invite is for October 18 (next Friday).

We're not sure how many of you guys would need a 32" touchscreen display that will be compatible with Apple's OS X operating system, but in case you do, Sharp has announced a new 32x4K touchscreen monitor that will support Apple's OS X right out of the box. iPhone 6 Display Size Will Be 4.8 Inches [Analyst]

It was recently reported that Apple is testing a number of iPhone prototypes internally with varying display sizes up to a massive six inches, which effectively pushes the iPhone into the phablet category. Some don't expect Apple to go that high, they believe that the company would hover around 5 inches for its next iPhone. The infamous Jefferies analyst Peter Misek predicts that the iPhone 6 display size is going to be 4.8 inches. He makes the prediction in a note to investors after meeting with Apple's suppliers, who are primarily based in Asia.

LG flexible OLED smartphone display enters mass production

LG's curved display production plans are coming along nicely, as the company has officially announced today that its first flexible OLED panel for smartphones has entered mass production. The company expects a rapid success of the flexible smartphone displays saying that other products are also going to benefit from the new technology. Such candidates include tablets, automotive displays and wearable devices.
The flexible OLED display in question is 0.44mm thin making it the slimmest among existing mobile device panels, according to LG. Furthermore, the display itself is built using plastic substrates instead of glass.
