Recycle Plastic Bags into Trash Bags with Nubagg

Recycle Plastic Bags into Trash Bags with Nubagg

Plastic bags are handed out for free when you shop in grocery stores, pharmacies, convenience stores, and gas stations among others. Most of the time you put them all in a drawer for future use, such as storing old toys or disposing baby diapers. At that rate, however, it would take a lot of time before you would be able to utilize every single bag, not to mention putting in more plastic bags.

Foxconn's Head Honcho Offers to School America on Manufacturing

Foxconn, the often-maligned manufacturing giant that produces iDevices, Nokias, and probably the gadget in your pocket, employs over 1 million people in manufacturing in China. I know at least one country that would love to have a million new manufacturing jobs. Taiwanese reports say that Terry Gou, the chairman of Foxconn, told a business meeting that he didn't think that production lines could be moved back the United States (agreeing with Steve Jobs) but he offered an olive branch: he invited dozens of American engineers to China so Americans can learn how a modern precision factory is operated.

AT&T Allows Apple's Facetime over Cellular

So the last carrier to prohibit Apple's Facetime videoconferencing software over its network has fallen: Yes, if you're an AT&T subscriber with a iDevice, you can finally Facetime over your cellular connection, provided you're not on a grandfathered data plan. AT&T's Jim Cicconi posted on the official public policy blog explaining why AT&T finally made the decision, and why they've left people not on shared data plans off:. We decided to take this cautious approach for important reasons.  AT&T has by far more iPhones on our network than any other carrier. We're proud of this fact and the confidence our customers have in us.

Cray unleashes 100 petaflop XC30 supercomputer with up to a million Intel Xeon cores

Cray has just fired a nuclear salvo in the supercomputer wars with the launch of its XC30, a 100 petaflop-capable brute that can scale up to one million cores. Developed in conjunction with DARPA, the Cascade-codenamed system uses a new type of architecture called Aries interconnect and Intel Xeon E5-2600 processors to easily leapfrog its recent Titan sibling, the previous speed champ. That puts Cray well ahead of rivals like China's Tianhe-2, and the company will aim to keep that edge by supercharging future versions with Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors and NVIDIA Tesla GPUs.

Sprint Acquires Spectrum, Customers from US Cellular for $480 Million

Sprint Acquires Spectrum, Customers from US Cellular for $480 Million

Sprint has forged a deal with US Cellular to acquire its PCS spectrum and about 585,000 subscribers across the Midwest. The $480-million deal would enable Sprint, which itself was recently acquired by Japanese carrier SoftBank, to gain 30MHz within the 1900MHz band across Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio. This extra spectrum would augment Sprint's coverage as it continues to roll out the 4G.
Meanwhile, US Cellular will apparently have to continue its business elsewhere once the deal gets regulation approval some time this year.

T-Mobile Nokia Lumia 920 spotted?

What you see on the right could very well be the Nokia Lumia 920 that runs on T-Mobile's network, putting to bed concerns that an unlocked international Lumia 920 is unable to run on the T-Mobile network. We do know that the Lumia 920 on AT&T will not feature AWS bands courtesy of a device breakdown from the FCC. However, international models of the Nokia Lumia 920 are not similar to the ones found on AT&T, where it will play nice with T-Mobile's 1700MHz AWS spectrum right from the get go. Developer units of the Lumia 920, too, have allegedly been touted to run on T-Mobile, at least according to some folks on the Internet.

While Microsoft remain mum about rumors about the Xbox Surface, a spec list supposedly of the gaming tablet has been leaked online. If this information is to be believed, the Xbox Surface tablet would run on a custom Windows OS and will be focused on gaming. The processor is a battle between a custom ARM chip and a new Intel SoC, but it will likely be the former if Intel cannot please Microsoft enough.
The tablet will also accommodate messaging along with “other tablet functions,” most likely to include web browsing using Internet Explorer 10.

On this election day, many feel “liberated” that they have finally been able to cast their vote, but also that the campaign is over.  In the excitation of the moment, many people snap a shot of their vote and post it on social networks. There are many motivations for doing so, but you should know that in certain places, this is actually illegal. For example some states prohibit the usage of photographic equipment in polling places.

Amazon Prime offers free two-day shipping on millions of Amazon items, no minimum order size, unlimited instant streaming of movies and TV shows, and a Kindle book to borrow every month for free. For $79 a year, it's a pretty good offer. But the deal could get even better. That's because a few Amazon users are now beginning to see a new pricing scheme for an Amazon Prime subscription. If the reports are true, then Amazon must be reconsidering its strategy in order to compete against Netflix and Hulu.

Why Would You Want To Emulate x86 on ARM?

Russian startup Elbrus Technologies announced today that they've developed an x86 emulator that runs on ARM systems. Your phone, tablet, and potential Windows RT system (like Surface) runs on ARM, so this emulator opens a door for massive amounts of legacy software to be run on modern computers. However, there's a catch: the emulator apparently only offers 40% native ARM performance for x86 applications, and if you ever wanted to get this emulator on a Windows RT device (the most likely use-case) you'd have to patch the OS, and that's probably not happening.
