According to the manufacturer, the M110 weigh about 0.8 lbs, integrates 1 GB of flash memory as well as a Micro SD card expansion slot and features VGA, HDMI and USB interfaces. There is also a 1W speaker, which would allow users to, if they have to, self-contained presentations, which, however, only support JPG files in such a scenario. Dell also offers a free utility to convert presentations for storage on an iPhone / Android phone to wirelessly stream a presentation to the M110 (which, however, requires the purchase of an optional wireless dongle for $70, in addition to the base price of $500 for the projector.

earthCell: batteries that are good for the environment

Batteries are useful products that keep our lives running, but one of the main problems that we encounter while using them is their disposal. Most people simply toss batteries in to the trash, which then ends up filling up our landfills all over the country. Well, some folks want to make a change with a project called earthCell. earthCell batteries are low self-discharge, disposable nickel metal hydride (LSD NiMH) batteries that are supposed to have a longer shelf-life than NiMH batteries and run longer than alkalines. When users have exhausted a battery, all they have to do is put it in a prepaid mailer.

Google recently sent out invitations to an event on November 16th, during which the company will make a “special announcement.” The invite's tagline says: “These go to eleven,” a famous quote from the popular comedy This is Spinal Tap that takes you behind the scenes of a rock band. The quote suggests Google's event will have some sort of music focus, however Google also sent along an image of a T-Mobile logo spray painted on a building, so perhaps we'll hear about a new phone instead. We'll keep you updated with all of the details when the event kicks off at 5:00 p.m. EST on November 16th.

Unlocked iPhone 4S Now Already Selling In United States!

Until now, the iPhone 4S was being offered by AT&T, Verizon Wireless and Sprint in the United States. Several other carriers in various parts of the globe are offering Apple's latest iPhone at a subsidized price. However, the sale of the iPhone 4S unlocked version started only with the US. Having an unlocked version of iPhone 4S refers to the ability to use a micro-SIM card offered by any carrier or service provider in the world, but there's a catch.

This is not true for CDMA networks, particularly including the likes of Verizon and Sprint.

The event is on Wednesday, November 16th at 2PM pacific (5PM Eastern) and those who can’t attend (it’s invite only) can watch live on YouTube.com/Android. A quick Bing Search (just kidding), reveals that the title “These Go To Eleven” is a quote from a 1984 movie Spinal Tap referencing turning the volume up on full blast or as the dictionary now says, “Up to the maximum volume”.

Sharp Aquos SH-01D makes a pit stop at the FCC

A recent FCC filing has revealed that the Sharp Aquos SH-01D may be headed our way soon. The device was originally announced in Japan, and half the time those phones never make it stateside, which is kind of a pity since some of Japan's smartphone offerings are usually on the more interesting side. The FCC filing did not reveal anything new about the phone, although we're guessing certain Japan-only features have been removed, such as the built-in TV tuner feature that is common on most Japanese smartphones.

. Among companies that have played truly significant roles in building and shaping the wireless industry as we know it today, few if any can stand shoulder to shoulder with Motorola. It has been more than 38 years since Dr. Martin Cooper, a Motorola executive, made the first analog cell phone call from a prototype handset, and Motorola has continued to innovate ever since. The company's rich history of innovation has yielded an extensive IP portfolio - a big part of the draw for Google, which is currently trying to spend $12.5 billion to acquire Motorola Mobility - and it has built a number of iconic devices.

Japan has typically had exclusive access to Sharp's skinny and big-screened smartphone series, but that could soon change. Details of the Aquos SH-01D have now appeared in the FCC's bulging mail box, a phone packing a dual-core 1GHz processor and a glasses-free 3D 4.5-inch screen. Add in water resistance and a whopping 12.1 megapixel camera, and you can see why it's piqued our interest. The phone is already booked to make an appearance in Japanese NTT DoCoMo stores later this month in blue, white and black options. Of course, despite Sharp's application for an FCC nod of approval, the company may have no intentions of selling it on US soil.

DIY Flamethrower Pistol. What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

DIY Flamethrower Pistol. What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Prettier than a squeezy bottle filled with gasoline, and much, much safer. What better way to spent a cold Fall weekend than to build yourself a handheld flamethrower. And not just any old flamethrower, but a “Moose/Bear Repellent” flamethrower.
It might look simple, but maker PDRWLSN put a lot of work and skill into building this pistol-shaped fire gun. At its heart, though, it's little more than a copper pipe containing a butane canister. The canister is pushed forward in this pipe by a trigger on the wooden body of the gun and discharges its gas through a nozzle.

To give you a rough idea of how fast Mali 400MP is, it just about as fast as Tegra 2 in GLBenchmark 2.0 Pro, and it is much faster than Tegra 2 in the Nenamark 2 benchmark (see my GS2 review). So, multiply that by 10 and this is… really fast.

It looks like Activision Blizzard's popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft, is finally starting to die out. Compared to the previous quarter this year, which it ended with 11.1 million active subscribers, the game has lost almost a million active subscribers. The problem with Microsoft Surface is that it looks too much like fun. NEC has the right idea: affix some trolley wheels, brush some aluminum, give it a sedate name like “X-info Table” and then maybe, just maybe, traditional businesses will start buying into the idea. The specs, however, are easily sufficient to handle a few rounds of office Pinball HD (as in the photo above): a Core i7 CPU running Windows 7 on the 52-inch full HD screen, 6GB of RAM, three USB ports, support for multiple sub-displays, and a scanning function.

But while these companies have made their own cars, engines and even fielded their own teams in the top motorsport discipline, Infiniti's participation has been a little more removed. Nissan's luxury division, as you may well be aware, is one of the top sponsors of the current reigning championship team Red Bull. But without actually building or powering Sebastian Vettel's car, Infiniti has been on a constant search for ways to capitalize on its partnership.
