A little out of topic since Smart Modular is not a Japanese company, but I could not resist this and sharing it with you. Smart Modular announced yesterday its latest MCL or Multi-Level Cell High Capacity SAS 2.5" SSD that reach read/write speeds of 100K/50K random IOPS and 500x500MB/s sustained transfer rates with capacities ranging up to 1.6TB (usable capacities). While there is no words on the pricing of this baby yet and an exact date of availability, I just can't imagine how expensive such 1.6TB wonder will cost while still dreaming of having such beast in my MacBook Pro or MacPro.
