Liquipel makes your existing phone waterproof for $59

Liquipel makes your existing phone waterproof for $59

One of the coolest things being showcased at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is definitely Liquipel. In short, Liquipel makes your phone (or iPod shuffle) waterproof. The tech can be contracted by phone makers to deploy on a massive scale, but at the same time it's also a consumer service. It is, in fact, the only waterproofing tech available direct to consumers.
The magic happens thanks to nanotechnology that bonds a waterproof coating to the surface (and innards) of your device – at the molecular level. The process only takes around 30 minutes, and it's going to last forever, Liquipel reps have told me.
