Sony has announced it will be offering the PlayStation Vita its first major firmware update on February 8. The version 1.6 update installs two new features to the handheld console. The first on the list is the inclusion of a map app on the home screen, where users would be able to view navigation information. The map can be viewed with or without satellite images. Also, users can search for driving and walking directions as well as details about their current location.
The device will also be given video recording powers, which can be found in the photo app.
