The move is apparently seen to fuel intersests of Nokia's fanatics who wished for Android OS on the Finnish company's hardware – a feat that has only been a wishful fantasy for many, especially after Nokia chose Microsoft's Windows Phone OS over Google's open source Android to resurrect its failing market stance. Even as the new name ‘Newkia' represents a new company and is apparently short for ‘New Nokia', it seemingly inherits Nokia's substantial manpower (think of employees who left Nokia) with common temperament for an Android-powered smartphone with Finnish company's genes of quality build and design.
