Sony's latest Android smartphones are definitely a step up from what Sony Ericsson used to offer. And although Sony touts its Reality displays as some of the best on the market, it still wants to improve things in this department. And that's why it plans to introduce handsets with AMOLED displays (as you may already know, all current Sony and Sony Ericsson devices have LCD screens). According to China Times, Taiwan-based AU Optronics is making AMOLED displays that will be used by Sony for a new Xperia smartphone. The smartphone, which doesn't have a name yet, is set to debut in the second half of the year.
