Last week we reported that according to the China Labor Watch, one of Samsung's suppliers, HEG Electronics Co., was reported to have violated labor laws by hiring child labor in their factories. With all the focus being on Apple versus Samsung these days, it seemed like a coincidence especially since Apple themselves were accused for unfair labor practices in one of their manufacturing partners, Foxconn. In any case this accusation was one that could not be overlooked and authorities launched an investigation into the matter.
